The second quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Guatemala. Uber - Request a ride experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 6.3K in early April and rising to approximately 9.6K by mid-June. The app also saw a notable growth in weekly active users, climbing from 481K at the end of March to over 611K by the end of June.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a different trend. Weekly downloads dropped from 13.7K at the start of April to about 4.5K by the end of May, before slightly recovering to 5.9K by the end of June. Despite the fluctuating download numbers, weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 83.5K to 93.2K throughout the quarter.

Picap had modest download numbers, with weekly figures fluctuating between 533 and 1.1K. The app’s weekly active users remained fairly consistent, hovering around 12K to 13K during the quarter.

Uber Lite faced a decline in weekly downloads, from 890 in late March to 287 by the end of June. However, the app’s weekly active users showed a slight decrease from 38.1K in late March to around 32.1K by the end of June.
